Bressingham Hall Farm, Diss

We provided advice on adapting the farm buildings near Bressingham Hall, a Grade II-listed Georgian mansion built in 1780. The adjacent farm, located west of Diss, a market town, includes a mix of residential and agricultural buildings set in open countryside. The farm is no longer in operation and is dominated by vacant, modern agricultural buildings, along with a historic granary.
A heritage assessment was submitted to the Council, demonstrating how a proposed “wedding venue” could be developed in a way that respects the character and appearance of the listed hall, its setting, and the surrounding landscape. We argued that the historic significance of both the barn and the Hall would not be compromised by replacing certain buildings or by converting and building new structures within the farm complex.
